Level 3 is the Green Frog floor.

The 3rd floor of our main hospital is the 3rd level of the Boettcher Atrium and is also dedicated to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Heart Institute. Outpatient cardiology visits are seen on this floor at our Cardiac Clinic. If your child is visiting the Cardiac Clinic, take the elevators to the 3rd floor, turn right, and walk back the hallway to the check-in desk on your right.

Services on Level 3

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Children’s Hospital Colorado is located just off the main elevators on the 3rd floor on the west side of the atrium. When exiting the elevators, look to the right. Our newly remodeled, 48-bed PICU uses a collaborative approach to provide innovative, high-quality care to critically ill children and compassionate care to their families.

The PICU team is comprised of board-certified pediatric critical care physicians, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, clinical assistants, and inpatient service specialists, as well as a pharmacist, dietician, social worker, child life therapist, case manager and pastoral care professionals.

Heart Institute

The Heart Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado offers state-of-the-art facilities for testing, diagnosing and treating little hearts. All of our cardiac facilities are located on the 3rd floor of the main hospital. Depending on which area of the Heart Institute your child is visiting, there are two main ways to access the facilities.
